I think all the issues in the Big Brother house this week have really opened everyone's eyes. Britain has become a racist nation. I see it when I leave my house, and I see it on the internet, it's everywhere around us. And I hate to admit it, but my own race is the instigator of the recent events. As a Caucasian, I do not believe I am any more superior than somebody of Black, Hispanic or Asian ethnicity. If I dislike somebody, it's irrelevant what their skin colour may be. I really hope Indians and nations around the world don't think that everyone in Britain is a racist idiot - because I am not, and I never have been, and everybody I'm friends with isn't. I don't associate with racists, and if I hear somebody making a racist comment, I swear to God, I tell them I don't like it.
I've always been so strongly against any type of discrimination. Whether it's discrimination against Homosexuality, races, genders, etc. Although I must admit, I find the joke: "Why do women not ski?" quite funny. The answer is "Because there is no snow between the bedroom and the kitchen." I think that's mild, but I would never laugh at something vulgar and hurtful.
Jade Goody couldn't help but dodge the fact that she's a bully. No one can say that Jade Goody is a nice person, she's pure evil, and even if she weren't a 'chav' she'd still be evil.
I can't believe I'm ranting about Big Brother. I'd love to say it was all untrue, but this is real. Racism is very, very real. |
